Quality has many facets

The Food Quality Assurance Laboratory follows a systematic and interdisciplinary approach concentrating on the entire food supply chain. Based on a wide spectrum of analytical methods and tailored management systems, research activities are directed towards the development and optimization of food products of high quality and safety. The expertise covers scientific topics of public interest taking into account both sides, consumers´ as well as producers´ requirements. The know-how and the equipment of the Food Quality Assurance Laboratory jointly form the basis for facilitating targeted research, analyses and consultancies. In addition, up-to-date educational and training programmes are offered. Food quality assurance contains several important areas and criteria, with transdisciplinarily linked tools playing an important role.
