What is an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)?

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) are short group mobilities as a variant of Erasmus+ Short term mobilities. You can apply for a BIP through a call for proposals from the organising universities.

BIPs consist of a physical and a virtual part and are carried out by a consortium of at least 3 universities from 3 different countries. BIPs aim to promote the use of innovative learning and teaching methods and to explore the possibilities of online collaboration. Current social challenges can be worked on in transnational and interdisciplinary teams.

An event can be conducted as a BIP if the following points apply to it:

  •     For university staff, teachers and students at all levels of study.

  •     Minimum 15 and maximum 20 participants

  •     Physical part: 5 - 30 days

  •     Virtual part: mandatory, duration not specified.

Participants with fewer opportunities

The Erasmus+ programme aims to promote equal opportunities and accessibility, inclusion and fairness in its actions. Therefore, participants with child or with disabilities/chronic diseases are explicitly invited to apply.
