Maria Wurzinger studied agriculture with a focus on livestock production. She obtained a PhD in animal breeding. Her research focus is on analysis of livestock production systems and design of community-based breeding programs for low-input systems in Latin America and Africa. More recently she started to look into innovation systems in the livestock sector. She offers postgraduate courses at BOKU, but also at different partner universities in Latin America. E-mail
