BIOSS - Biosphere reserves as models for  science-society interaction to spur sustainability transformations in mountainous areas and beyond

BIOSS is a research project aiming to understand and analyze how biosphere reserves in mountainous regions can be used as models for new forms of science-society interaction to promote sustainability. By investigating the diversity of science-society interactions in biosphere reserves, BIOSS seeks to identify the most effective strategies for creating actionable knowledge and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
