Lehrinhalt

The course provides a general introduction into the biology of the grapevine and covers theoretical and practical applications of grapevine physiology into vineyard management practices considering climate change, precision viticulture and resource conservation.
Topics:
- Terroir
- Precision viticulture
- Canopy management under a changing environment
- Precision water management
- Mechanization in the vineyard

Students succussfully finished the class will be able to:
Apply previous knowledge on viticulture and plant physiology into practical vineyard management

Optimize water management for vineyards
Have an overview of precision viticulture technologies and its current/future application
