This course is designed to help advanced students of interdisciplinary sustainability science improve their writing and presentation skills while enabling them to advance their presentation and/or writing projects.
Depending on the needs of the participants, we will focus on specific elements of the writing and presentation process. These include developing and presenting a research question, researching and incorporating relevant literature, structuring and framing the paper, and drafting, commenting and revising text. Presenting and discussing newer AI-supported tools may also be part of the course.
We will work on these topics through presentations, interactive workshops, writing sessions, individual coaching, and peer feedback. At the end of the course, students should leave with improved presentation and writing skills and have made some progress with their own presentation or writing project.
- Inhaltliche Voraussetzungen (erwartete Kenntnisse)

The course is open to all PhD-students (priority is given to those from the doctoral schools DSSE and T2S). Participants fill a questionnaire on their scientific writing project (e.g., an abstract or any other part of a new article, drafting an introductory chapter of their thesis, finalising an article draft…) and expectations before the first unit.
