The aim of this exercise is to give students a practical introduction to the field of modern soil analysis. Through practical work, students will use methods applied in current research to trace nutrients in the soil-plant-microbe system. Based on examples of research conducted at the Institute of Soil research, students will learn about the basic concepts behind experimental setups, specific analytical aproaches, as well as data processing and evaluation. Learning how to adress specific research problems by analytical means is an excellent preparation for experimental research as part of a masters thesis or PhD.
