IWHW has the pleasure of inviting you to participate at the Ninth International Symposium on Water Management and Hydraulic Engineering 2005, which will be held from 4th to 7th of September 2005 in Ottenstein, Austria. Introduction Having started in the year 1984 with the first symposium organised by the Technical University of Gdansk and the University of Zagreb, the ninth Symposium in the year 2005 is organised in co-operation of five European Universities, showing for itself a growing interest for this traditional meeting of experts in hydraulic engineering and water management. The principle aim is to promote the international exchange of information and knowledge on water related topics, giving the experts and academics from different application fields the opportunity to interact within one another and to be involved in valuable discussions.
