Alexandra Kastrinakis received her Bachelor‘s degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences. During an internship at the University of Bergen, Norway she worked as part of the Bramham group in the Department of Neuroscience, which focus their research on synaptic plasticity. She was able to apply her Molecular Biology skills while working at a PCR lab during the pandemic. There she also delved into Mutation Analysis and Sequencing of COVID-19 variants. Since 2024 Alexandra has been working as a technician at BOKU, first at the Institute of Food Science and Technology and in 2026 she joined the Institute of Cell Culture and Tissue Technologies.
