After earning my Bachelor's in Food Sciences, I furthered my education with a Master's in Biotechnology, and eventually completed my Ph.D. in Nanobiotechnology, specializing in the development of nano vectors for drug delivery. Transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry, I immersed myself in research and development as a specialist. Since January 2023, I am embarking on a postdoctoral journey in the CD Lab, focusing on downstream and process development for rAAV production. Beyond research, I find joy in playing basketball and exploring nature through hiking. These activities provide balance and inspiration, fueling my passion for both science and life outside the lab.

After finishing my Bachelor’s and Master’s in “Biotechnology” at BOKU, I conducted my PhD research at the “Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica” (iBET) and “Universidade NOVA de Lisboa” in Portugal under the supervision of Prof. Paula Alves. During this time, my research was focused on leveraging single-cell analysis and genetic engineering to enhance Adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector production in insect cells. Since then, I joined the CD Lab as a Post-Doc, where I will focus on assessing cellular limitations of HEK293 during transient AAV vector production and developing novel approaches to overcome them. Apart from my research, I enjoy all kinds of physical outdoor activities.
