Circular economy is a great opportunity to contribute to increasing sustainable resource use. In order to integrate circularity into the construction sector 9 possible indicators were defined (green figure). These indicators also correlate with the waste hierarchy in accordance with the EU Waste Framework Directive (blue figure). The aim is to provide an overview of important aspects and to evaluate the circularity of buildings.
