University Students from Higher Semesters Help First-Years

At the beginning of every semester, ÖH BOKU (the Austrian Students' Union at BOKU) organizes the so-called First-Year Students Tutorial ("Erstsemestrigen Tutorium"). This tutorial helps you get to know the university, find orientation on how to start your university studies and make contact with your future colleagues. And don't worry - there is also plenty of fun involved! :-)

On the first day of the winter / summer semester, we start off with an official welcome by the respective student representative. This is then followed by a study-specific program.

In the first week of the winter semester - and depending on the conditions also in the summer semester - the student representatives and committed tutors organize and offer voluntary excursions. These allow you to get to know interesting companies in your field of expertise and network with your colleagues. These excursions can be held for one day or be several days long.

Further information can be found on ÖH-BOKU's homepage .

For Master's program students an introductory program is also available.

Participation in this tutorial is not mandatory, of course. However, we highly recommend it.

From students for students

At the beginning of every semester your students' union (ÖH) organizes a tutorial for first year students. The tutorial can help you to find orientation around the campus, answer typical first-time students' questions and socialize with fellow students.
