Houskaprize 2027

The Houskapreis, awarded by the B&C Private Foundation in the category “University Research”, recognizes outstanding research projects that combine scientific excellence with economic relevance and the successful transfer of research findings into practice.

The Houskapreis 2027 in the category “University Research” is endowed with a total of €250,000.

Prize 

  • 1st Prize: € 150,000
  • 2nd Prize: €  70,000
  • 3rd Prize: €   30,000

In addition, a student jury awards the Mariella Schurz Prize, endowed with €10,000.

Submission

Submissions are made by the project lead, following internal coordination with the Rectorate.

Applicants are requested to contact the Technology Transfer Team in parallel with preparing their submission documents, and no later than 20 October. The initial consultation serves to identify and clarify any patent-related issues at an early stage and to coordinate further steps with the Rectorate.
