Since the academic year 2004/05, all study programmes follow the Bachelor and Master system. Every programme has a classification number allocated, which is called a "Studienkennzahl" (study code number). "H" is BOKU's classification letter.

Bachelor

A Bachelor programme consists of courses and other requirements which are worth a total of 180 ECTS credits. This is equivalent to 6 semesters full-time studying. Graduates of a Bachelor programme are awarded the academic title „Bachelor of Science“, abbreviated as „BSC or B.Sc.“.
