Admission into Bachelor's programmes with international educational background

In order to enrol in a Bachelor's programme at BOKU, applicants with an educational background from EU/EEA countries, non-EU/EEA countries and stateless persons must satisfy the general requirements for entrance to an Austrian university. Please include the following original documents (or certified copies) with your application: Additional copies of the required documents need to be submitted.

1. Completed Application form
2. Secondary school leaving certificate or degree certfifcate from a first degree programme of at least 3 years duration (for the fulfillment of the general university entrance qualification)
3. Certificates of the last 4 years of high school (12 years school) or certificates of the last 3 years of high school (11 years school)
4. Evidence of adequate proficiency in German A2 or C1

Please note: some secondary school leaving certificates do not meet our requirements

As part of the review of the submitted documents, the university reserves the right to request additional documents or evidence if deemed necessary to verify the admission requirements. The assessment will be conducted in accordance with the principles of free evaluation of evidence pursuant to Sections 45 and 46 of the General Administrative Procedure Act (AVG).
