First aiders

Comprehensive first aid is provided at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. We therefore have a comprehensive team of first aiders who are represented in large numbers at every location. In all university buildings you will find a large number of notices with names and telephone numbers of our first aiders, which will be available to you immediately.

In order to keep the lists of preventive forces up to date, the BOKU safety expert asks the institutes, departments, service facilities and staff units to report any changes back to the e-mail address arbeitnehmerinnenschutz(at)boku.ac.at.

In order to ensure sufficient first aiders, EH courses are regularly offered in the training pass.

Needlestick injuries

The instruction for the prevention of needlesticks resp. in measures in case of an accident with needles can be found on the website of Occupational Medicine under 'Info Health' -> 'Prevention'.

 

First aid materials

Refilling or requesting first aid kits

First aid kits, refills and first aid backpacks (emergency backpacks for field trips) can be requested through the helpdesk of the Facility Services and Security Department (procurement/e-shop) by the institute secretaries, or first aiders.
