Location

The demonstration forest is located on the Lower Austrian slopes of the Rosalia Range. It occupies parts of the territoriums of the municipals of Ofenbach, Schleinz, Walpersbach und Hochwolkersdorf at the district Wiener Neustadt and covers an area of 930 ha.

The seminar building can be found in the eastern part of the demonstration forest on the territory of the municipal of Lanzenkirchen, district of Wiener Neustadt.

Access routes to the seminar building (Map)

Route 1: from north, south and west:
Südautobahn A2 until Knoten Wr.Neustadt

Schnellstrasse S4 direction Eisenstadt until exit Lanzenkirchen
turn right to land road L148, direction Lanzenkirchen, Rosalia
trough Lanzenkirchen, Ofenbach, Schleinz until summit (with Fernblick Inn)
turn left to Forchtenstein (L149-L223)
600m after built-up area Rosalienhäuser on next (faint) summit, turn left (green signpost "BOKU-Lehrforst").

Approach on unpaved forest road until seminar building

Route 2: from east (and alternative from north and west):

Burgenlandschnellstrasse S31 until exit Forchtenstein
turn right (L223), transit Forchtenstein
appr. 2km after built-up area Neustift (with Forchtenstein Castle), turn right (green signpost "BOKU-Lehrforst").

Approach on unpaved forest road until seminar building.

Route 3: from southeast

Burgenlandschnellstrasse S31 until exit Forchtenstein
turn left, proceed as described for Route 2

This is the position of the junction of the public road (L223) and the access road (green signpost "BOKU-Lehrforst").

Input of the adress will either fail or force you to access via partly closed forest roads.
