Dr.in Friederike Frieß

 

Friederike Frieß holds a Doctorate in Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt. She was part of the Interdisciplinary Research Group in Science, Technology and Security (IANUS) in Darmstadt. She joined the Institute of Safety and Risk Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in 2014.

Friederike current research includes advanced nuclear reactor technology with a focus on their impact on nuclear waste management, nuclear safety, and nuclear non-proliferation.

Besides authoring publications in international, peer-reviewed journals, she has participated in several consulting services regarding nuclear issues for various clients.

Friederike is board member of the International Nuclear Risk Assessment Group (INRAG) and of the Research Association for Science, Disarmament and International Security (FONAS). She further is the Austrian Delegate at the OECD/NEA-IAEA Uranium Group and the Austrian member of the Scientific and Technical Commitee of EURATOM.
