Andre Dekker will speak about the desire for order, beauty and imagination in the light of calls for circularity, rights for nature and climate change. Recent works of art in equally recent landscapes and gardens will illustrate these tensions.

Andre Dekker, founder and partner of the artist group Observatorium in Rotterdam (NL), is currently visiting professor at the Institute of Landscape Architecture BOKU University. Editor and author of: Observatorium - Public Art for Public Life (nai010 publishers, 2022), in which the artists explore the magic of the ordinary, find ways to accomodate it in public works of art, and introduce the imaginative into the design of cities and landscapes.
