Sciformation

Sciformation is BOKU's central Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for managing chemical inventories. It provides an overview of available chemicals, their properties and safety information, the containers in which they are stored, their locations, and the institutes to which they belong.

Operated within BOKU Core Facility Bioinformatics, Sciformation is being progressively introduced across BOKU. All institutes will receive dedicated support with onboarding their chemical inventory data and staff into the system.

Find chemicals within your laboratory or across BOKU, locate containers, and facilitate chemical sharing between research groups.

Compliance & Safety

Support regulatory requirements, such as toxic and CMR substance reporting or location-specific chemical inventories for inspections and emergencies.
