Olena Ivanik participates in the Ukrainian Government funded projects: "Modern technologies for monitoring natural and man-made processes for assessment their impact on critical infrastructure ob-jects" (2018-2020), "Development of the theory and methodology of creation of dynamic geological and geophysical models of geological objects and processes" (2011-2015); "Development of methods for two-dimensional digital modelling of the closed mines based on geomechanical and geophysical data integration" (2012-2014); "Monitoring and assessment of natural hazards on the base of the geological processes modelling" (2008-2010); Ukrainian State program of Antarctic research (2000-2005). She was coordinator of the Project "Methodology of the using of functionality of GIS-technologies for creation of the full-weight adapted geoinformation system of separate parts of the World Ocean" (by the Grant of the Royal Society (UK) (2006). Prof. Dr. Olena Ivanik is an expert in marine geology and geomorphology, GIS and numerical modelling of geological hazards, risk assessment. Olena Ivanik is a principle investigator of government projects. She carries out the research of landslide and debris flows hazards in Ukraine, modeling of these processes and assessment of their impact on infrastructure objects.
