On June 19 and 20, 2023, we will celebrate 12.5 years of the PhD program on Biomolecular Technology of Proteins, by hosting the BioToP conference. Presentations by top-notch invited speakers, alumni of the program and current students of BioToP will give insight into current protein research at universities and in industry. Im Rahmen der wissenschaftlichen Tagung wollen wir aus verschiedenen Perspektiven beleuchten, welche Arten der Verantwortungsübernahme angesichts der Klimakrise notwendig, sinnvoll, legitim und effektiv sind. Drei Vorträge mit anschließender Diskussion beleuchten die Frage der gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung von Wissenschaft aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln. In der anschließenden Podiumsdiskussion erweitern wir diese Sichtweisen um jene aus Verwaltung, Politik und Zivilgesellschaft.
