The 3rd edition of DS-FOOD summer school on “Design of sustainable food systems” arises from the growing attention that the issue of sustainability of food systems has gained at the international level. It will be held in the framework of a Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme with a virtual component on 19 June 2023 and a physical mobility.

The Farm-to-Fork strategy launched by the European Union in 2020 brings agri-food issues to the heart of the European Green Deal, pushing for a transition of food systems towards a condition of sustainability that can lead to environmental, social, and economic benefits. This approach aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (especially SDG 12: sustainable production and consumption).

The programme is organised by University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy), in partnership with Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Uppsala, Sweden), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Wien, Austria), Harokopio University of Athens (Greece), and Münster University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The summer school will be held at the UNITUS Alpine Studies Centre, located in the small village of Pieve Tesino, in the Dolomites of Trentino, Italy.

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme, Italy


22-26 May 2023 at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Naples

The Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II is pleased to announce its Erasmus+ BIP Blended Intensive programme 2023 with the title “Understanding and fate of natural toxins and anthropic contaminants involved in foodborne illness and environmental suffering: instrumental-analytical, biosensors, ecotoxicological and cell-based approaches” which will take place from 22 to 26 May 2023 in Naples.

Target group: undergraduate students, PhD students, postdoc, lab technicians, researchers, professors.

BIP program offers 6 ECTS credits for undergraduate students and aims to provide participants with suitable expertise on analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, environmental chemistry, ecology and ecotoxicology which is useful for constructing an academic and professional career.

The aim of the course will be to carry out practical laboratory activities with students in order to apply the most recent analytical and instrumental techniques for the determination of toxins and pollutants, not only to ensure food and environmental monitoring but also to assess their toxicity and follow their degradation in the environment. This means that our participants will get the best out of what we have learned from student engagement and teaching formats over the last few years combined with exciting and highly interactive in-person sessions and a comprehensive social program.

The “Green.Building.Solutions.” Summer University (GBS, 7 ECTS) is an academic training, specializing on first-hand ecological knowledge and engineering expertise. Participants from all over the world and various backgrounds deepen their knowledge in passive house planning, sustainable urban development, new energy technologies, innovative architecture and ecological design approaches together with experts in workshops, excursions and lectures.

The University of Naples Federico II is pleased to announce its Erasmus BIP Blended Intensive  programme 2023 which will take place 5-14 July 2023. With the support of the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union, the  Department of Law of the University of Naples Federico II is pleased to invite highly motivated students to the Erasmus BIP: Environmental law and policy. Origins and domestic, comparative and European principles.

Students will have the opportunity to discuss with professors or experts working in this field, becoming aware of environmental law and policies complex economic and social issues. Students are encouraged to apply at their International Relations office for Erasmus+ funding. The funding amount for stays between 5 and 14 days is 70 Euros per day.
