Paula Rosa | Inhabiting the Streets of Buenos Aires

Oktober 18:00 - EG03 Oskar Simony-Haus, Peter-Jordan-Straße 65, 1180 Wien Der Vortrag ist frei zugänglich.  The presentation will focus on the problem of inhabitants of the street, ie men and women of different ages and life trajectories that spend their days and nights in the streets, plazas and sidewalks of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The dissertation will discuss the main analytical categories used to approach the phenomenon, the strategies used by the subjects for the development of their daily lives and the "uses" and "appropriation" of public space in which they inhabit. From this analysis we can get closer to urban experiences that define different ways of inhabiting the city. This presentation is based on the work done for the development of the doctoral thesis: "Network of relationships: Civil Society Organisations and assistance to the inhabitants of the street in the City of Buenos Aires".
