Workshop on ABE production and CO2/H2 fermentation

A 2-day workshop on ABE production and CO2/H2 fermentation will be held in Vienna, Austria, on the 10th and 11th of November 2016. More information can be found on the website, http://clostridia.boku.ac.at/ The topics include:

  • microbiology, feedstock and media
    • strains and mutants
    • growth conditions
    • challenging feedstocks
  • process engineering
    • mixing
    • gassing
    • reactor design
    • product purification

Day 1: ABE fermentation

  • Acetone, butanol, ethanol and other products.

Day 2: CO2/H2 fermentation

  • Acetate, ethanol, methane or other products from CO2/H2 or syngas.

What: Workshop consisting of presentations, posters, guided discussions and networking events. Where: Room EH05, Wilhelm Exner Haus, BOKU University, Peter-Jordan-Straße 82, Vienna 1190 When: 10th and 11th of November 2016 Fees: No attendance fee. Lunch will be provided on both days. Registration: Please register by e-mailing clostridia(at)boku.ac.at giving the name, institute, position and research interest (ABE, CO2/H2, both) of each participant by the 7th of October 2016. Abstract: Please submit an abstract for each participant using the template provided by the 14th of October 2016.
