Landscape Chat with Dr. Ana Kučan
Ana Kučan is a landscape architect in the studio AKKA and a full professor of landscape design and theory at the University of Ljubljana. She continued her studies at the GSD (MLAUD), Harvard University, and holds a doctoral degree from the University of Ljubljana.
She has won competitions for urban and landscape design and awards, including the International Piranesi Prize in 1998, 2002 and 2014, Architizer + Popular vote and Fare peasaggio Award in 2016 and Plečnik Award in 2003 and 2016, 2017.
Her work was a finalist for the 2006 Rosa Barba Award at the Biennale in Barcelona and selected for the National pavilion at the Biennale of Architecture in Venice in 2010. She was a member of the first Editorial Advisory Board of the academic Journal of Landscape Architecture.
She is lecturing and has presented her work internationally.
