Research on llamas in Peru: How does it work during a pandemic? By Dr. Maria Wurzinger

A two-year stay with field research in the Peruvian Andes was planned. Together with colleagues from UNALM-Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina Dr. Maria Wurzinger wanted to develop strategies for llama breeding. But then the pandemic came and everything was turned upside down. Home office with online meetings became the new daily routine.

This is a report how research works even in times of COVID, what impact the pandemic has on the lives of farmers in the Andes and what role llamas play in the fight against it.
