Virtual TUM Global Week

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is hosting a Global Week online to share its offers for international students, doctoral candidates and scientists, funding opportunities for research projects, as well as flagship partnerships, international alliances of TUM and mentoring programs.

The Virtual TUM Global Week will be held from 5 – 9 July 2021.

Events that could be especially interesting for BOKU partners and students:
 

• Coming to TUM – An introduction to exchange opportunities
  8 July 2021, 12:30 – 2:30 pm
  Aimed at partner universities and students who are interested to come to TUM for an exchange. Requirements and opportunities for a stay abroad at TUM will be introduced. Additionally, Munich in general will be introduces, as an exchange is about immersing oneself into a new culture and therefore goes beyond the academic aspect.
  
   
• Fit for studying in Germany – An intercultural workshop.
  9 July July 2021, 10 – 11:30 am
  Does studying at a German university in Munich differ from studying back home? How do some of the differences in communication styles between professors, students, and advisors reflect general German cultural standards and values? In this taster workshop, you deepen your knowledge about Germany and the Germans and also do some self-reflection on how cultures have shaped and influenced your lifeso far.
