BOKU-Alumna Sonnia Musyoka: Research on aquaculture development for Kenya and Tanzania

Sonnia Nzilani Musyoka received her PhD from BOKU, Vienna, financed by the APPEAR programme. She is currently a lecturer at the South Eastern University in Kenya. She has also founded the NGO “Kibwezi Wellwishers Centre for Sustainability".

Her research interest is aquaculture development, particularly the utilisation of non-conventional feed sources for fish nutrition with the aim of cutting costs and improving yields, thus promoting food security, socio-economic development and ecological balance.
