BOKU Affiliation Policy
Die Richtlinie gilt für das gesamte wissenschaftliche und nichtwissenschaftliche, allgemeine Personal der BOKU sowie für emeritierte Universitätsprofessor*innen und Universitätsprofessor*innen im Ruhestand, pensionierte Universitätsdozent*innen, Master- und Doktoratstudierende. Darüber hinaus gilt sie für Gastforscher*innen, Forschungsstipendiat*innen sowie Mitarbeiter*innen strategischer Beteiligungen der BOKU, sofern diese einer BOKU Arbeitsgruppe angehören. Weiters gilt sie für ehemaliges wissenschaftliches und nichtwissenschaftliches Personal der BOKU, das nach dem Wechsel an eine andere Institution die an der BOKU begonnenen Forschungsarbeiten fertigstellen und publizieren.
Für alle Publikationen und andere Schriftdokumente, die einen unmittelbaren Bezug zur BOKU (Forschung, Lehre, Weiterbildung, Wissenstransfer, gesellschaftliche Verantwortung sowie Verwaltung) haben, gilt die Richtlinie gleichermaßen. Dazu gehören auch Veröffentlichungen im Bereich des Forschungstransfers, Social-Media-Beiträge sowie Print- und audiovisuelle Medien. Weiters wird diese standardisierte Affiliationsbezeichnung für Vorträge, für die Organisation von und Teilnahme an Kongressen und anderen Veranstaltungen sowie für Forschungsanträge, Diensterfindungen und Patente etc. festgelegt. Diese Richtlinie ist verpflichtend, nicht nur für Erst- und Korrespondenzautor*innen, sondern auch für Senior-, Co- und Letztautor*innen anzuwenden.
Diese Richtlinie wurde in der Sitzung des Rektorats vom 070921 beschlossen und tritt mit 300921 (Datum der Veröffentlichung im Mitteilungsblatt Nr. 27/Studienjahr 2020/21) in Kraft.

Please, note the new "Affiliation Policy" of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, which was published on September 30, 2021, in the Official Journal ("Mitteilungsblatt").
This Guideline applies to all scientific and non-scientific general staff of BOKU as well as to emeritus and retired university professors, retired university lecturers, master and doctoral students. Furthermore, it applies to visiting researchers, research fellows and employees of strategic participations of BOKU, provided that they belong to a BOKU working group. Furthermore, it applies to former scientific and non-scientific staff of BOKU who complete and publish research work started at BOKU after transferring to another institution.
This Guideline applies equally to all publications and other written documents that are directly related to BOKU (research, teaching, continuing education, knowledge transfer, social responsibility and administration). This also includes publications in the field of research transfer, social media contributions as well as print and audio-visual media. Furthermore, this standardised affiliation designation applies to lectures, to the organisation of and participation in congresses and other events, as well as to research proposals, service inventions and patents, etc. This Guideline is mandatory, not only for first and corresponding authors, but also for senior, co- and last authors.
This Guideline was decided in the rectorate meeting on 070921 and comes into force on 300921 (date of publication in the Official Journal No. 27/Academic year 2020/21)
