Visiting scientist - Dr. Uri Hochberg

Dr. Uri Hochberg from the Agricultural Research Organization - Volcani Institute (Israel) will be visiting the Institute of Viticulture and Pomology for the period 31.8 to 6.9.2022.

Dr. Hochberg study the physiology of water transport in plants to understand plants response to drought stress and develop sustainable water-use strategies for agricultural ecosystems. The Hochberg’s lab focus their research on osmotic adjustment, hydraulic conductance, xylem cavitation and stomatal regulation.

Dr. Hochberg will hold a seminar entitled “Seasonal hydraulic plasticity and its significance for embolism avoidance” the 1.9 at 10 am in Tulln (UFT SR15 - EG/507).
