5th International Staff Week in Georgia

The Tbilisi State University is organizing the 5th International Staff Week from 6 -10 February 2023 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The agenda of the event is meant to meet the interests of the staff from the universities of EU Member States and third countries associated with the ERASMUS+ Programme working on university internationalization as well as civic engagement of universities. In particular, the staff week will have two parallel tracks addressing various topics including, but not limited to student and staff mobility programs, exchange student services, international cooperation, joint and double degree programs and their quality management, quality assurance of internationalization and the third mission of universities.

It will give the participants an introduction to the Georgian higher education system and provide an opportunity to discuss the trends and challenges the universities face in an ever changing environment, as well as increase the cooperation opportunities among the event participants. The 5-day-long program will be composed of talks, presentations, sharing of experiences and best practices among colleagues from TSU’s partner and non-partner institutions, networking events, speed dating, individual meetings and a social program. Furthermore, the agenda of the event is designed to give its participants a unique opportunity to discover Georgian culture, taste exquisite Georgian cuisine and celebrate the 105th anniversary of foundation of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (celebrated on February 8th).

The 5th ISW is designed for administrative staff of the international relations, quality assurance and/or strategy or institutional governance offices and officers (including deans and deputy deans), or representatives of units that are in charge of internationalization, study abroad, quality assurance and civic engagement/third mission of the university both at central and faculty/departmental levels.
