Staff Training: TICKET Project - Online Training Programme on Intercultural Competence
The University of Amsterdam invites you to register for the TICKET online Training Programme on Intercultural Competence. It will be ready to launch on 17 October 2022.
The TICKETproject aims to address the challenges of internationalisation and increased diversity within higher education. In order to do this, seven European universities have partnered up to create a self-led, self-reflective online training programmewhich supports academics and professional staff to develop their Intercultural Competence (IC), by addressing the four following themes:
- Mobility and its effects on campus, focusing on improving the student mobility experience abroad and engaging with multiculturalstudent groups
- Student learning, focusing on fostering participation for all and using Intercultural Competence to enhance equality, diversity and inclusion
- Internationalisation of the curriculum, focusing on making disciplines and the classroom multicultural
- University as an intercultural workplace, focusing on developing an intercultural-sensitive work environment in academia.

Get Involved - Upcoming TICKET Events
Multiplier Event, 28 October 2022, online
Our first upcoming event is our Multiplier Event focusing on the Staff Toolkit. The Staff Toolkit is a hub of existing open resources and projects to further support your training experience in the TICKET Training Programme modules. For this event, we invite you to come learn about the resources, share your personal reflection journey of the Training Programme, and feed into what could be of further value to you in your TICKET journey. The event will take place in a hybrid format as part of a larger event happening physically in Sienna. The TICKET presentation will take place on Friday, 28 October 2022 from 11:30-13:00 CET and will allow for virtual participation.

Multiplier Event, 11 November 2022, Berlin
Our next upcoming event is our physical Multiplier Event taking place in Berlin on Friday, 11 November 2022 from 14:00-16:00 CET. Join our colleagues for an engaging afternoon including guest speakers on facilitating international collaboration, a panel discussion on continuing opportunities for IC development, and information about the TICKET Handbook, one of the core outputs of the TICKET Project.
