Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP): Biotechnologie-Workshop in Granada, Spanien und an der BOKU | Biotechnology-Workshop in Granada, Spain and at BOKU

Die BOKU lädt Studierende ein, sich für das Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Towards opportunities in careers in biotechnology” zu bewerben, das an der BOKU und in Granada, Spanien stattfinden wird.

Kurzfassung
Im Rahmen eines Workshops zu einem Thema aus dem Bereich der Biotechnologie bietet dieses Programm maximal 8 Master-Studenten der Universität für Bodenkultur Wien einen Reisekostenzuschuß von 350€ zum einwöchigen Abschluß des Workshops in Granada vom 17-21 April 2023.

Workshop
Nach einer thematischen Einführung durch die betreuenden Professoren R. Kunert und R. Bliem der Universität für Bodenkultur sollen von Studierenden individuelle, aber abgestimmte Recherchen zum Thema „Towards opportunities in careers in biotechnology“ durchgeführt und als Präsentation vorbereitet werden. Der Umfang der vorbereitenden Recherche liegt Rahmen einer halben SWS.
Der Abschluß erfolgt in der Woche des 17.-21. April 2023 an der Universität von Granada. 
Im Rahmen dieses einwöchigen Aufenthalts erfolgen neben der gemeinsamen Präsentation der Workshop-Ergebnisse, Besichtigungen von Biotechfirmen und -laboratorien, ein Rundgang der Stadt Granada und ein Besuch der Stadt Guadix statt.

ECTS
Für diesen Workshop werden von der Universität von Granada 3 ECTS vergeben. Die Anrechnung für allfällige Lehrveranstaltungen in den Heimatuniversitäten erfolgt durch die Studierenden selbst.

Zeitplan
Dieses Programm ist auf das angelaufene Studienjahr ausgelegt. Der Beginn des Workshops erfolgt zwischen Mitte November 2022, aber spätestens Ende Februar 2023. Der Abschluß der Vorbereitung der Recherche ist für Anfang April geplant. Der Abschluß des Workshops erfolgt am 21. April 2023 in Granada.

BOKU invites students to sign up for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Towards opportunities in careers in biotechnology”, which will take place partly at BOKU and in Granada, Spain.

Abstract
In the context of a workshop on a topic in the field of biotechnology, this programme offers a maximum of 8 Master students of the BOKU-University of Natural Relations and Life Sciences, Vienna, a travel allowance of 350€ to a one-week workshop in Granada from 17-21 April 2023

Workshop
After a thematic introduction by the supervising professors R. Kunert and R. Bliem of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, the students will conduct individual but coordinated research on the topic "Towards opportunities in careers in biotechnology" and prepare a presentation. The scope of the preparatory research is half a SWS. It will be completed during the week of 17-21 April 2023 at the University of Granada. During this one-week stay, in addition to the joint presentation of the workshop results, visits to biotech companies and laboratories, a tour of the city of Granada and a visit to the city of Guadix will take place.

ECTS
The University of Granada awards 3 ECTS for this workshop. The crediting for any courses in the home universities is done by the students themselves.

Schedule
This programme is scheduled for the beginning of the academic year. The workshop will start between mid-November 2022, but no later than the end of February 2023. The completion of the research preparation is planned for the beginning of April. The workshop will conclude in Granada on 21 April 2023.
