Ernst Mach – ASEA-UNINET Short-term Research Grants

Applications for Ernst Mach – ASEA-UNINET Short-term Research Grants are open to Postdocs who are involved in teaching and researching at an ASEA-UNINET member university in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam and who would like to conduct a short research stay (1-2 months!) at an ASEA-UNINET member university in Austria.

Maximum age:

  • 45 years (child-raising periods can be taken into account)


Language proficiency:

  • Very good knowledge of English and/or German


Closing date for applications:

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and have to be submitted 2 to 9 months prior to the planned research stay.

Anyone interested from BOKU partner universities in the above-mentioned countries can apply for this scholarship (please keep in mind that it does not cover travel costs though!), and you will need a letter from the host at BOKU. Interested candidates can apply any time (no deadlines!). The chance of being awarded this scholarship is very high.
