ÖGMBT Annual Meeting

The Life Sciences are driven by ever improving technologies, to profile the omics in single-cells and with spatial resolution, to represent the physiological context in organoid models, to extract knowledge with data science and machine learning, and many more. Cutting-edge technologies have great potential but also challenges, and are highly transferable between scientific disciplines. In this meeting, we will discuss intricacies of technologies and their applications in the Life Sciences.

The meeting will kick-off with the bestowal of the prestigious “Life Science Awards Austria 2023”. The Research Awards winners will further give deep insights within the "Rising stars lecture", exemplifying the excellent cutting-edge research made in Austria.

Over the duration of the scientific meeting, we have compiled a program that broadly covers diverse disciplines within the Life Sciences. This program is organized in two tracks:

• Track 1 with a focus on Technologies, which are transferable between Life Science disciplines.

• Track 2 that covers diverse Life Sciences disciplines, demonstrating the insights gained by technological advances.

Within these tracks, invited plenary speakers will share state-of-the-art research and young scientists will present their work in talks and posters. Poster sessions, breaks, and social functions, like the cherished “Wine & Science” evening, will provide ample opportunity for networking and discussions with speakers and colleagues.
