ICA Biodiversity Challenge 2023

on 30 June 2023, 3-4.30pm

On 22 May 2023, International Day for Biological Biodiversity, the ICA Biodiversity Challenge started.
17 academic organisations from within the ICA network are engaging their staff, students, and some even the general public to explore the biodiversity on and around their university grounds in a friendly competition to find the most species.

On 30 June 2023 from 3 to 4.30pm, the Biodiversity Challenge will be closed with a hybrid event to celebrate the highlights of the joint efforts, to announce the winning institute, and to discuss how this challenge can help the ICA partners to fulfil our pledge to put biodiversity conservation at the heart of our research, education and campus operations.

Special guest Kirsten Schuyt – Director General of WWF International – will address the audience about the role that academic organisations can play in bending the curve of biodiversity loss.
