APPEAR Alumna @ BOKU

Deous Mary Ekyaligonza earned her PhD in Agriculture from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna in April 2023. Her research was embedded in the APPEAR project "Strengthening of Higher Education, Research and Community Outreach in Agro-Ecology in the Rwenzori Region in Western Uganda".

Her PhD research provides smallholder farmers with insights into how to improve their livelihood based on locally available resources and the sustainability ecosystem functioning.
