Lifelong learning for the Bioeconomy

23-24 October 2024 at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture, Croatia

The 2024 ICA-CoP Bio-Edu Workshop will be held at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb from Wednesday 23 to lunchtime on 24 October: “Engaging with the corporate world to enhance the provision by life science universities of lifelong learning for professionals in the Bioeconomy.”
   
The bioeconomy corporate world is evolving faster than ever. With the shift to the development of the bioeconomy, in particular the bio-based economy within the bioeconomy, new expertise is required. Job descriptions change, old roles become irrelevant, and new skills are needed. The professional workforce for the bioeconomy needs to develop new competences. The provision of lifelong learning must be embedded in the workplace which is an opportunity for life science universities to provide. The theme follows the workshop held in 2023.  

There is a call for proposals for short contributions as Case Studies in the Workshop to be submitted by 15 September. See Call for Case Studies
 
The ICA Rectors and Deans Forum follows after lunch on the 24 October to lunch time on 25 October.  The Faculty of Agriculture local programme start after lunch on 25 October.
