BOKU Alumni & Austrian Scholar Dr. Madhu Sudan Acharya

Dr. Madhu Sudan Acharya exemplifies international academic collaboration. After completing his PhD at BOKU University in 2007, he spearheaded innovative projects in sustainable disaster mitigation in Nepal. Through the Cooperation Development Research (KoEF) programme, he explores green engineering solutions, such as eco-friendly slope and riverbank protection systems, to combat landslides and floods. By fostering partnerships with Austrian universities, Dr. Acharya bridges research and practice, contributing to global sustainable development while nurturing the next generation of geotechnical engineers in Nepal.
