Land and fragility amid a changing climate

Land degradation and extreme weather events are putting immense pressure on ecosystems, livelihoods and the fabrics of societies. Yet, there are promising solutions that can help reshape our relationship with the land while improving resilience and stability.

Organised in collaboration with the Food and Climate Systems Transformation (FACT) Alliance at MIT, we will examine how climate-induced fragilities impact social and environmental stability. And we will explore what it takes to reduce fragilities through nature-based solutions, circularity, and resilience-building.

Our guests will be Erin Coughlan de Perez (Tufts University) and Alex O. Awiti (CIFOR-ICRAF). Hosts: Greg Sixt (MIT) and Michael Hauser (BOKU).
