APPEAR project VjoSusDev Albania
On 4 December 2024 the core team of the APPEAR project VjoSusDev provided a comprehensive presentation of their research activities on the Vjosa river in Albania. The Vjosa River in Albania, renowned as one of Europe's last wild rivers, was designated a national park in 2023, becoming the first wild river in Europe to receive this status. It is being extensively studied under the APPEAR project to analyze its hydrology, biodiversity, and water quality. The findings highlight the need for environmental protection measures and will provide a basis for sustainable river management.
