KoEF Project Kick-Off Meeting in Ethiopia

The Austrian-Ethiopian research project "SWARM2" held its inaugural workshop in Addis Ababa in April 2026. Researchers from BOKU University, the University of Graz, and Ethiopian partners came together to launch collaborative work on sustainable water and land management in the Lake Tana catchment. The meeting focused on exchanging expertise with local and international stakeholders and planning joint research activities and pilot implementations. SWARM2 aims to develop innovative solutions for one of Ethiopia's most important water resources. The project is supported by OeAD's Cooperation Development Research (KoEF) programme.
