The Umweltbundesamt (Environment Agency Austria) adds a practitioners’ perspective, provides access to an EU-wide network of adaptation practitioners, and establishes a link to policy makers in Austria. The Umweltbundesamt (Environment Agency Austria) is the ideal partner for  these purposes because it is responsible for developing an Austrian adaptation strategy in close cooperation with the Austrian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management until 2011.
