Julia Moldaschl - Curriculum Vitae
Julia Moldaschl studied at the University of Vienna, Austria and received her bachelor degree continued by her master degree in Pharmacy in 2021. In 2019, she conducted an internship at the University of Malang, Indonesia in pharmaceutical phytochemistry, focusing on the optimization of a colorimetric method for determining the antioxidant capacity of plant extracts.
For her master thesis she studied simultaneous activity of multiple signalling pathways closely associated with tumorigenesis in HEK293T cells stably transduced with a multi-luciferase plasmid. Her research pursued the aim of developing a HEK293T cell screening model with proper working signal transduction pathways for further testing of the effects of different compounds on these mentioned pathways.
In 2021 she became a part of the AG Kasper at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. Her main focus is on the Crazy8 project, a cooperation between the St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute, the Medical University Vienna and the AG Kasper, aiming to track the origin of the Ewing sarcoma by developmental and trans-species genomics. She contributes to this ambitious goal by optimizing expansion and differentiation processes of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) in 3D cell culture systems under different oxygen conditions.
