More information

On April 25, 2024, participants will gain exciting insights into various areas of BOKU and can experiment and research in a variety of ways. After a welcome by the Rector of BOKU, there will also be a quiz, interesting workshops and a tour of the new River Lab.

Participation in Girl's Day is free of charge.

Participants will be accompanied during the breaks and when changing buildings. During the breaks, the participants will receive small snacks and drinks, and a packed lunch including a drink will be provided.

Each participant will receive a certificate of participation and a goodie bag.

We ask participants to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty.

During the event, photos and videos will be taken of the participating girls, which will be used in the BOKU media.

BOKU has been part of the City of Vienna's Girl's Day initiative for many years.

Girl's Day is an initiative to provide perspectives in the orientation phase of professional orientation. The focus here is primarily on those areas in which the proportion of women tends to be low - such as technical, scientific and engineering disciplines and subject areas.

We would particularly like to thank all the workshop leaders for their commitment and exciting contributions, especially our host, the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and River Research, and the Institute of Livestock Sciences.

Girl's Day at BOKU is a cooperation between the Coordination Office for Gender Equality, Diversity and Disability, the City of Vienna, BOKU4you and BOKU institutes.
