Courses from lecturers of the gW/N
From the winter semester 2018/2019, all courses of the gW/N will be located at other institutes for structural reasons. But no worry! We are striving more than ever to impart the skills of education for sustainable development (BNE) that are so important for our future and to promote them at the BOKU.
In the following courses (these are primarily held in German, with the exception of the AEMS), lecturers of the gW/N play a key role:
Sustainicum I
The course enables students to get to know the most important aspects of sustainability and to experience them in a very interactive way.
Sustainable Entrepreneurship
Planning and implementation of your own start-ups, associations, NGOs, initiatives and ideas
Planning and implementation of your own start-ups, associations, NGOs, initiatives and ideas: The course gives students who want to ENTERPRISE something the opportunity to gain initial experience and develop sustainable business ideas.
Dialog für den Wandel
"Courage for Sustainability"! Interactive lecture with 3 guest speakers in cooperation with Fridays for Future, ÖH BOKU, Risiko:dialog, the Federal Environment Agency Vienna, the ORF, the KPC, the Ministry of Life and the University of Vienna.
Sustainability Challenge
The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary course on sustainable development with the focus on "Sustainability finds the city. The SDGs as an opportunity for urban change?" aims to promote a networked understanding of economic, ecological and social development and give students the chance to put theoretical concepts into practice.
AEMS Summer School
The AEMS focuses on alternative and innovative concepts for economic and monetary systems and researches the extent to which these take ecological limits and social standards into account.
Lectures for Future
A course that is put together like a mosaic of colorfully mixed lectures that deal with the ecological and social challenges of our world and possible solutions: The students are introduced to burning questions about the future and possible solutions from a wide variety of scientific disciplines and perspectives.
Die innere Dimension der Nachhaltigkeit
"The inner dimension of sustainability: the role of values, emotions and worldviews" In this course we examine what the necessary change in values and awareness could look like in the population.
