EPICUR and BOKU host three EPICamps
25-260222: „Collective identities and/or European identities” (UHA)
One societal challenge that EPICUR Research addresses is the societal question of the importance and relevance of “(European) identities”. Yet, what does that mean and how can we transform this politically charged term into a scientific object?
23-240322: „Hydrosphere: Challanges of preserving and using WATER (Eco-)Systems in the Anthropocene“ (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, BOKU)
EPICUR Research focuses on the hydrosphere and looks at water (eco-)systems impacted by both natural processes and human intervention. Water is, equally, a natural and social resource at the core of human existence which in turn has deeply shaped the waters that flow through the Earth.
310322-010422: „Sustainable cities and regional transitions. Illuminating city – hinterland co-evolutionary relationships“ (BOKU)
EPICUR Research discusses sustainability on an urban scale. Urban sustainability not only negotiates between fields such as landscape planning, mobility, urban environmental justice or waste management. Urban sustainability is also closely linked to the urban environment.
