This work of art is based on a concept by Prof Folke Köbberling and the structural design was done by the Institute of Green Civil Engineering. The construction was finalised in the course “Digital design and automated construction”. The requirement was to use a robot to build the wagon in the sense of the circular economy from waste wood obtained from the demolition of a shed next to the Robot Laboratory in Groß-Enzersdorf.

The aim of the course was to give students the opportunity to learn the process chain starting with the planning and ending with the implementation of a real building.

The official presentation of the jubilee wagon took place on the 23rd of May, 2022 at th Türkenschanze. After more than a week in front of the Exnerhaus, the art piece will be exhibited for visitors in Floridsdorf (Franz-Jonas-Platz 01.06.-10.06., Franklinstrasse 10.06.-20.06., Schlingermarkt 20.06.-23.06.)
