Follow-up workshop on Austrian sign language

We would like to cordially invite all those who have already attended an ÖGS basic course to participate in another ÖGS Communication Café.

This workshop focuses on a brief review of what has already been learned. In a relaxed atmosphere, Günter Roiss will lead some exercises on the basics of Austrian Sign Language. Afterwards, everyone is invited to communicate with each other with Günter Roiss's support.

We looking forward to welcoming you to our workshop, where we can communicate together in sign language over coffee.

This workshop is once again being held in cooperation with TU Wien and is aimed at anyone who has already attended an ÖGS course and would like to improve their interaction and communication with deaf people.

There are a total of 18 places available, 9 of which are reserved for BOKU employees and 9 for TU Wien employees.

Participation will be recorded in the BOKU training pass.

Please note that the workshop will be held in german! 

Günter Roiss, MSc. has been deaf since the age of 4.

He studied psychology at the University of Vienna and the University of Klagenfurt, then completed a course in clinical and health psychology and now offers psychological counseling and coaching in Vienna, among other services. He lectures on deaf culture and sign language at the Institute of Education and the Institute for Teacher Training at the University of Vienna, as well as in the speech therapy department at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiener Neustadt.
